Sizzling Beef with Onions & Peppers
Ingredients
For the beef

500 g (1 lb) beef (sirloin, flank, or ribeye)

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp oil

½ tsp black pepper
Vegetables

1 large onion, cut into chunks

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp sugar or honey
-
½ cup beef broth or water
-
1 tsp cornstarch (for thickening)
For cooking

2 tbsp oil (vegetable or peanut)
Instructions

Prep the beef

Slice beef thinly against the grain

Mix with cornstarch, soy sauce, oil, and pepper

Let rest 10–15 minutes

Make the sauce

Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire, sugar, broth, and cornstarch

Set aside

Sear the beef

Heat pan or wok until very hot

Add 1 tbsp oil

Sear beef in batches (don’t crowd!)

Cook 1–2 minutes per side, remove and set aside

Cook vegetables

Add remaining oil

Sauté onions until slightly soft but still crisp

Add peppers and garlic, cook 1–2 minutes

Combine & sizzle

Return beef to pan

Pour in sauce

Toss everything together until glossy and thick (2–3 minutes)
