Ingredients:

  • 1 box vanilla or white cake mix

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • Optional: 1/4 cup granulated sugar (if you like it extra sweet)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Set to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13″ baking dish.

  2. Layer the Goodness:

    • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the pan.

    • Drop spoonfuls of softened cream cheese over the strawberries. (Want it sweeter? Mix the cream cheese with the optional sugar before dropping.)

  3. Add Cake Mix:

    • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top — do not stir.

  4. Add Butter:

    • Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Try to cover as much as possible.

  5. Bake:

    • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

  6. Cool & Serve:

    • Let it cool for 10–15 minutes before digging in. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.


🔥 Tips:

  • Want a crusty top? Add a handful of crushed graham crackers or crushed vanilla wafers before baking.

  • You can swap strawberry filling for cherry, blueberry, or peach if you’re feelin’ fancy.
