Ingredients:
2 Tbsp butter
1 large onion, chopped
½ cup water (plus more as needed)
1 large head cabbage, cut into wedges
4-6 red potatoes, cut into cubes
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Directions:
In a large Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until tender and fragrant.
Pour in ½ cup of water, then add the sliced smoked sausage and cubed red potatoes.
Arrange the cabbage wedges on top, then season with salt and pepper.
Cover the pot and steam for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage and potatoes are tender.
If needed, add ¼ to ½ cup more water to prevent burning.
