Scallops in Lemon Wine Sauce

Ingredients
1 lb large sea scallops
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Lemon slices, for garnish
Directions
Prepare Scallops: Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear Scallops: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make Sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, bringing to a simmer. Let it reduce by half, about 2-3 minutes.
Finish Sauce: Gradually whisk in butter, one piece at a time, until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Stir in chopped parsley.
Serve: Return the scallops to the skillet to warm through. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately.
