Ingredients:

  • 1 small loaf of crusty bread (like sourdough or French)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1/4 cup canned diced green chiles (drained)

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Foil (for wrapping)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Bread:

    • Slice the loaf in a criss-cross pattern — deep enough to stuff, but not all the way through the bottom. Think: checkerboard!

  2. Make Garlic Butter:

    • Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

  3. Stuff the Loaf:

    • Gently open the bread cracks and stuff shredded cheese and green chiles into the pockets.

    • Drizzle or brush the garlic butter all over the top and into the cracks.

  4. Wrap & Air Fry:

    • Wrap the whole loaf in foil (leave the top slightly open if you want it extra crispy).

    • Place in air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, then unwrap the top and cook another 2–3 minutes to crisp up.

  5. Serve Hot:

    • Let it cool slightly, then pull apart and enjoy the cheesy, spicy, buttery magic.

🔥 Tips:

  • Add cooked bacon bits for a meaty upgrade.

  • Use pepper jack for more kick.

  • Perfect for dipping in ranch or salsa!
