Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Add the warm water and olive oil, then mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Cover and let rise for another 30–40 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the melted butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, pepper, and sea salt.
- Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife and brush generously with the garlic herb mixture.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the loaf is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Brush with the remaining garlic butter immediately after baking and let cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
