Caramel Apple & Brie Christmas Tree Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 medium apple, finely diced

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • 1 pinch cinnamon

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 100g Brie cheese, cut into small cubes

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare Apple Filling:
In a small pan, melt butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Cook 3–5 minutes until soft and caramelized. Let cool.

  2. Cut Puff Pastry:
Roll out puff pastry and cut into small Christmas tree shapes using a cookie cutter (or simple triangles if you prefer).

  3. Fill Tartlets:
Place pastry pieces on a baking tray. Add 1 small cube of Brie and 1 teaspoon of caramel apple mixture on each.

  4. Top with Pastry Tree:
Add another pastry tree on top and press edges gently to seal. Brush with egg wash for golden color.

  5. Bake:
Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.

  6. Finish:
Add nuts on top if you like. Serve warm so the Brie stays melty and delicious.
