Caramel Apple & Brie Christmas Tree Tartlets

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 medium apple, finely diced

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

100g Brie cheese, cut into small cubes

1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

Prepare Apple Filling:
In a small pan, melt butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Cook 3–5 minutes until soft and caramelized. Let cool. -
Cut Puff Pastry:
Roll out puff pastry and cut into small Christmas tree shapes using a cookie cutter (or simple triangles if you prefer). -
Fill Tartlets:
Place pastry pieces on a baking tray. Add 1 small cube of Brie and 1 teaspoon of caramel apple mixture on each. -
Top with Pastry Tree:
Add another pastry tree on top and press edges gently to seal. Brush with egg wash for golden color. -
Bake:
Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden. -
Finish:
Add nuts on top if you like. Serve warm so the Brie stays melty and delicious.
