Spicy Crispy Hot Honey Lemon Feta Chicken with Herb Crust

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp chili flakes

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

Herb Crust

  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Hot Honey Lemon Feta Sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (or chili sauce)

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 clove garlic (minced)


Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken

    • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, chili flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. Make Herb Crust

    • In a bowl mix panko, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, and olive oil.

  3. Coat Chicken

    • Press the breadcrumb mixture onto the chicken to create a thick herb crust.

  4. Cook Chicken

    • Heat a skillet with a little olive oil on medium heat.

    • Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

    • Alternatively bake at 200°C (400°F) for 18–20 minutes.

  5. Make Sauce

    • In a small pan melt butter and sauté garlic.

    • Add honey, hot sauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

    • Stir and cook 1–2 minutes until slightly thick.

  6. Finish

    • Place chicken on a plate, drizzle hot honey lemon sauce, and sprinkle crumbled feta on top.
