🍰 The Famous 15-Minute Cream Cheese Cake

🧈 Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cream Filling:

  • 500g cream cheese (or quark/ricotta)

  • 1 cup sour cream (or heavy cream)

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat oven:
Set oven to 170°C (340°F) and grease a round baking pan.

2️⃣ Prepare the base dough:
Mix butter, sugar, and egg until creamy. Add flour and baking powder, mix to form a soft dough.
Press ⅔ of the dough into the base of the pan, saving ⅓ for the top.

3️⃣ Make the creamy filling:
In another bowl, whisk cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, eggs, cornstarch, and lemon zest until smooth.

4️⃣ Assemble:
Pour the filling over the dough base.
Crumble or grate the remaining dough over the top.

5️⃣ Bake:
Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden on top.
Cool completely before removing from the pan.

6️⃣ Finish:
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.


💡 Tips:

  • Tastes even better after chilling in the fridge for 2–3 hours.

  • You can add fruit toppings like berries or peaches for extra flavor.
