🍲 Texas Cowboy Stew
🧾 Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 lb turkey sausage (sliced or crumbled)

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) corn, drained

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
-
1 large potato, diced (peeling optional)

1 cup green bell pepper, chopped

1 cup onion, chopped
-
2 cups beef broth
-
2 tsp chili powder
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
👨🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Brown the Meat

In a large heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven, cook ground beef and turkey sausage over medium heat.

Break apart the meat with a spoon as it cooks.

Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed.
Step 2: Add Vegetables & Seasoning

Stir in chopped onions, bell peppers, and diced potatoes.

Sauté for 5 minutes until slightly softened.

Add chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Step 3: Simmer the Stew

Pour in beef broth, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and corn.

Stir to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

🌽 Cornbread Dressing (Simple Version)
Ingredients:

4 cups prepared cornbread (crumbled)

1/2 cup chopped celery
-
1/2 cup chopped onion
-
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth

1 tsp dried sage (optional)

Salt & pepper to taste

1 egg, beaten
-
2 tbsp butter or oil
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, sauté celery and onion in butter until soft (5 min).

In a large bowl, combine cornbread crumbs, sautéed veggies, sage, salt, pepper, and egg.

Pour in broth slowly until mixture is moist but not soggy.
