– Pecan Pie Dump Cake
Ingredients:
– 1 cup pecans, chopped
– 1 box yellow cake mix
– 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup brown sugar, packed
– 1 cup corn syrup
– 4 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
4. Pour the mixture over the pecans in the baking dish.
5. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of the pecan mixture; do not stir.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
