🫒 Mediterranean Feta Mezze Platter

Ingredients:

For the Feta:

  • 1 block (about 200g) feta cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • Fresh black pepper

For the Mezze Platter:

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 small cucumber, sliced

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup Kalamata or green olives

  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers

  • 1/2 cup hummus

  • 1/2 cup tzatziki or yogurt dip

  • Pita bread or toasted baguette slices

  • Fresh herbs (parsley, mint, or dill) for garnish


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Feta:

    • Place the feta block on a small dish or pan.

    • Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle oregano, chili flakes, and black pepper.

    • You can serve it as is or bake it at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes until soft and slightly golden.

  2. Arrange the Platter:

    • On a large serving board, place the feta in the center.

    • Arrange tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, and roasted peppers around it.

    • Add small bowls of hummus and tzatziki.

    • Fill any gaps with pita bread or toasts.

  3. Garnish:

    • Drizzle everything lightly with olive oil.

    • Sprinkle with fresh herbs for a colorful, fresh finish.

  • Add grilled veggies or stuffed grape leaves for variety.

  • For extra crunch, include roasted chickpeas or nuts.

  • Drizzle a little honey over feta for a sweet-savory twist.
