4 white fish fillets (tilapia, cod, haddock, or halibut – ~4–6 oz each)

3 tbsp unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

Salt & black pepper to taste

Pat fish dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp butter.

Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until flaky and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Make sauce: In the same pan, reduce heat slightly. Add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté 30 seconds.

Stir in lemon juice and zest. Simmer 1–2 minutes.

Return fish to pan and spoon sauce over fillets.
