🥢 Healthy Chinese Ground Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry Stack

🌟 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef

  • 3 cups green cabbage, thinly shredded

  • 1 cup carrots, julienned

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari)

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional for depth)

  • 1–2 tsp toasted sesame oil

  • 1 tsp chili flakes or sriracha (optional for heat)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)


🔥 Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef:
    Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

  2. Add Aromatics:
    Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Toss in Veggies:
    Add cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until veggies are tender but still crisp.

  4. Flavor it Up:
    Pour in soy sauce, rice vinegar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together.

  5. Stack & Serve:
    On a plate, layer cabbage at the bottom, top with stir-fried beef and veggies, and sprinkle green onions & sesame seeds.

  6. Optional:
    Serve with brown rice, cauliflower rice, or enjoy as a low-carb bowl.
