🧀🥖 Ham & Cheese Puff Twists with Garlic Herb Dressing

Crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor — these puff pastry sticks make the perfect savory snack or party appetizer!


✅ Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 4 oz sliced turkey or chicken ham

  • 4 oz shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


🔪 Instructions:

STEP 1: Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


STEP 2: Prepare the Puff Pastry

  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a clean surface.

  • If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the surface.


STEP 3: Add Fillings

  • Evenly layer the sliced ham and then sprinkle the shredded cheese over the pastry.

  • Lightly season with salt and pepper.


STEP 4: Cut and Twist

  • Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the pastry into 1-inch wide strips.

  • Gently twist each strip a few times to create spiral shapes.


STEP 5: Egg Wash

  • Brush the top of each twist with the beaten egg to help them bake golden and shiny.


STEP 6: Bake

  • Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Remove and let cool slightly before serving.


🥣 Garlic Herb Dressing (Dipping Sauce Suggestion):

Mix together:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove minced garlic

  • 1 tsp each of fresh chopped parsley and thyme (or other herbs of choice)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Serve on the side for dipping!
