Grilled Fish with Crispy Fries
Ingredients
For the Grilled Fish

2 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or any white fish)

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

1 tsp garlic (minced)

1 tsp lemon juice
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp paprika or red chili powder
-
½ tsp dried herbs (optional: oregano or thyme)
For the Crispy Fries

3 large potatoes
-
2–3 cups oil (for frying)
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp paprika or chili powder (optional)
Optional Sauce
-
Mayonnaise
-
Ketchup
-
Tartar sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Fries

Peel and cut potatoes into thin fries.

Soak them in cold water for 20–30 minutes (this removes starch and makes them crispier).

Dry them well with a towel.

Heat oil to 175–180°C and fry until golden and crispy (about 5–7 minutes).

Remove and sprinkle salt and paprika.
2. Season the Fish

Pat fish fillets dry.

Mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs.

Rub the mixture evenly over the fish.

Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
3. Grill the Fish

Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill on medium heat.

Cook fish for 3–4 minutes per side until flaky and cooked through.
4. Serve
Plate the grilled fish with crispy fries, lemon wedges, and your favorite sauce.
