🧄 Garlic Fries Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes

  • 3 tbsp olive oil 🫒

  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley 🌿

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  1. Scrub and wash potatoes well (keep the skins on for extra crispiness).

  2. Cut into thick wedges or fries.

  3. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch (this helps them crisp up).

  4. Drain and pat completely dry with a towel.

2. Season

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.

  3. Spread fries in a single layer — don’t overcrowd them!

3. Bake

  1. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  2. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2–3 minutes at the end.

4. Finish & Serve

  1. Once baked, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if using) and chopped parsley.

  2. Toss gently to coat.

  3. Serve hot with garlic aioli, ranch, or ketchup.

💡 Tips for Extra Crispy Fries

  • Soaking in cold water is key!
