- 1 box Duncan Hines Signature Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
- Water, oil, and eggs (as called for on cake mix box)
- 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Prepare and bake cake according to package directions in a 9×13″ pan.
- Mix undrained pineapple with granulated sugar.
- Poke holes in hot cake with fork; pour pineapple mixture over cake.
- Cool completely.
- Beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy; add vanilla.
- Gradually blend in powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread frosting over cooled cake; sprinkle with pecans.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
