Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Signature Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
  • Water, oil, and eggs (as called for on cake mix box)
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake cake according to package directions in a 9×13″ pan.
  2. Mix undrained pineapple with granulated sugar.
  3. Poke holes in hot cake with fork; pour pineapple mixture over cake.
  4. Cool completely.
  5. Beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy; add vanilla.
  6. Gradually blend in powdered sugar until smooth.
