🧀 Crispy Cauliflower Steaks

✅ Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower

  • 2 eggs (or plant-based alternative)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or pork rinds for keto)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • Olive oil spray or drizzle


🔥 Instructions:

1. Prep the Cauliflower

  • Remove leaves and stem from the cauliflower but keep the core intact.

  • Slice into ¾ to 1-inch thick “steaks” — you’ll get about 3–4 good slices; save the leftover florets for another use.

2. Prepare Coating Station

  • In one bowl, beat the eggs.

  • In a second bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Coat the Steaks

  • Dip each cauliflower steak into the egg wash, coating both sides.

  • Then press into the breadcrumb mixture, coating thoroughly.

4. Cook

Oven Method:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Place steaks on a lined baking sheet. Spray or drizzle with olive oil.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

Air Fryer Method:

  • Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

  • Place steaks in a single layer. Spray with oil.

  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

  • Optional: top with more cheese, serve with garlic aioli, marinara, or ranch dip.


🍴 Tips:

  • Use almond flour and crushed pork rinds for a keto/gluten-free version.

  • Make it spicy with chili flakes or cayenne in the crumb mix.

  • Leftovers reheat great in the air fryer!
