Ingredients
→ Cupcakes
01 1½ cups flour
02Â 1 tsp cinnamon
03 1½ tsp baking powder
04 ½ cup butter
05 ¾ cup brown sugar
06Â 2 eggs
07 ½ cup milk
08Â 1 tsp vanilla
→ Filling
09 ½ cup thick caramel sauce
→ Frosting
10 ½ cup butter
11 1½ cups powdered sugar
12 ¼ cup caramel sauce
13Â 1 tsp cinnamon
→ Crunch
14Â 1 cup crushed cinnamon sugar cereal (like Cinnamon Toast Crunch)
15Â Optional: pinch of sea salt
Instructions
Step 01
Prepare cinnamon cupcakes by mixing the dry ingredients, creaming the butter and sugar, and combining with wet ingredients. Bake until fluffy and golden, then cool completely.
Step 02
Using a small knife or corer, remove the centers of the cupcakes and fill with caramel sauce.
Step 03
Pipe a swirl of caramel-cinnamon frosting on top of each cupcake and press the crushed cereal around the base or on the frosting.
Step 04
Drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving, if desired.
