🥩 Carnivore Beef Brisket

✅ Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lb beef brisket (flat or point cut)

  • 2–3 tsp salt (Redmond Real Salt or sea salt preferred)

  • 1 tsp black pepper (optional — omit for strict carnivore)

  • 1 tbsp beef tallow or butter (for searing, optional)

  • 1 cup bone broth (for braising, optional but adds richness)

🔪 Instructions:

Oven Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Season the brisket generously with salt (and pepper if using).

  3. Optional sear: In a hot skillet with tallow or butter, sear brisket on both sides until browned (2–3 minutes per side).

  4. Place in a roasting pan or Dutch oven. Add 1 cup bone broth if using.

  5. Cover tightly with foil or lid and bake for 3.5 to 4.5 hours, or until fork tender.

  6. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Slow Cooker Method:

  1. Season brisket with salt and pepper (if using).

  2. Place in slow cooker with 1 cup bone broth (optional).

  3. Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours, until tender.

  4. Slice or shred and serve with pan juices.

Smoker Method (Optional for BBQ Flavor):

  1. Rub brisket with salt and place in a smoker at 225°F (107°C).

  2. Smoke for 6–8 hours, wrapping in butcher paper or foil once internal temp hits ~165°F (74°C).

  3. Continue until internal temp reaches 195–205°F (90–96°C).

  4. Let rest 30–60 minutes before slicing.

💡 Carnivore Tips:

  • Serve with a side of beef tallow, butter, or au jus.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for meal prep.

  • Save the rendered fat for cooking eggs or searing steaks!
