Caramel Crunch Oyster Crackers
An addictive sweet and salty snack combining crispy oyster crackers with a crunchy caramel coating, perfect for satisfying any craving.
Ingredients:
4 cups oyster crackers
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as pecans or almonds)
Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Caramel Coating:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
Coat the Crackers:
Place the oyster crackers in a large mixing bowl.
Pour the caramel sauce over the oyster crackers, stirring gently to coat evenly.
Spread the coated crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake and Crunch:

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped nuts and a pinch of sea salt, if desired.
Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet. The caramel will harden as it cools.
