Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage (Cut into sliced)
  • 1 tbsp. Bacon Grease
  • 1 Onion (Chopped)
  • 2 tsp. Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • ¼ cup Chicken Broth
  • 3 tsp. Caraway Seeds
  • ½ tsp. Seasoning Salt
  • ½ tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • ½ cup Bacon (Crumbled)
  • 1 Head of cabbage (Chopped)

Instructions

  1. Saute the sausage in a skillet until cooked through. Set aside.
  2. Add the onions and bacon grease to the skillet over medium heat, and saute until softened.
  3. Stir in the garlic and saute another 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, sugar, caraway seeds, seasoning salt and red pepper flakes.
  5. Mix in the cabbage and cover the skillet. Saute until the cabbage is soft.
  6. Add the meat back to the skillet and toss to combine.
  7. Sprinkle with the bacon pieces and serve.
