Ingredients

  • 3–4 large sweet onions (Vidalia preferred)

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Onions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel onions and slice into ¼-inch thick rounds.
Separate rings slightly and place evenly in a greased baking dish.


2. Season

Drizzle melted butter over the onions.
Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika if using.


3. Add Cheese

Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the onions.


4. Bake

Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
