Ingredients

For the Cod:

  • 4 cod fillets (about 5–6 oz each)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

For the Lemon-Dill Sauce:

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream

  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 tbsp dried dill)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for depth)

  • 1 small garlic clove, minced or grated

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.

2. Prepare the Cod

  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.

  • Place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).

  • Top each fillet with 1–2 lemon slices.

3. Bake the Fish

Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork (internal temp should reach 145°F/63°C).

4. Make the Lemon-Dill Sauce

While the fish is baking:

  • In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt (or sour cream), dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  • Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.

5. Serve

  • Plate the baked cod and spoon a generous amount of lemon-dill sauce over the top.
