My Air Fryer Poached Eggs come out perfect with next to no effort every time. No more worrying about keeping a close eye on your stovetop and constant stirring — simply prep the eggs, air fry, and dig in. So easy with the air fryer!
Ingredients
- 4Â eggs
- 8 tablespoons water
- salt & black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the Ramekins:
- Lightly spray the ramekins or silicone baking cups with cooking spray or brush them with a bit of oil to prevent the eggs from sticking.
- Fill each ramekin with about 2 tablespoons of water.
- Crack the Eggs:
- Carefully crack an egg into each prepared ramekin, making sure the yolk stays intact.
- Cover the Ramekins:
- Cover each ramekin tightly with a small piece of aluminum foil. This helps to create a steaming effect which is essential for poaching.
- Air Fry the Eggs:

- Place the covered ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-6 minutes. The exact time may vary depending on your air fryer model and the desired level of doneness. For slightly runny yolks, 5 minutes is typically enough; for firmer yolks, cook for 6-7 minutes.

- Check for Doneness:
- Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer using oven mitts (they will be hot).
- Remove the foil and check the eggs. If they are not done to your liking, you can cover them again and cook for another minute or two.
- Serve:
- Use a spoon to gently lift the poached eggs out of the ramekins.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately on toast, with a salad, or as part of your favorite breakfast dish.
Tips:
- If you prefer a softer yolk, reduce the cooking time slightly.
- Experiment with different seasonings or herbs to customize your poached eggs.
- Make sure the water in the ramekins does not evaporate completely during cooking; this helps to keep the eggs moist.
