NOTES
Storage Instructions:
- I don’t recommend making these and storing them. If you wanted to make the meat ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until the nacho cravings hit, that would be a better idea. Nachos don’t typically keep and reheat well.
Other FAQ suggestions:
- Do you lose a lot of beef through the grate of the air fryer while browning it? You lose some, but very little. Just make sure to crumble the beef by hand before placing it in the basket, don’t try to crumble in the basket itself.
- Do I have to cook the meat in the air fryer? No, you can cook the beef in a pan on the stove top but It’s nice to be able to make it all in one place and the air fryer drains the grease very well!
- I don’t have taco seasoning packets on hand, what can I substitute? If you have the spices on a hand you can mix together 1 tbsp chili powder, ¼ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp oregano, ½ tsp paprika, 2 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp of table salt, ½ tsp pepper. Or if you don’t care for taco meat, you can just add oil and salt and pepper to season your meat.
- I don’t have parchment paper, do I have to use it? No, you don’t have to use parchment paper to make these nachos. It’s just much easier to get the nachos out the air fryer with it.
