Brown Sugar Air Fryer Salmon

🧂 Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 2–4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)

  • 2–3 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)

  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or regular)

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Optional: pinch of cayenne for heat

  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley or lemon wedges


🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Prepare the rub
    In a small bowl, mix:

    • Brown sugar

    • Paprika

    • Garlic powder

    • Salt

    • Pepper

    • Cayenne (if using)

  3. Prep the salmon

    • Pat salmon dry with paper towels.

    • Brush lightly with olive oil.

    • Generously coat the top with the brown sugar mixture.

  4. Air fry

    • Place salmon in the basket (skin side down if using skin).

    • Cook at 390°F for 7–10 minutes, depending on thickness.

    • Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches 125–145°F internally (depending on preferred doneness).

  5. Optional caramelized finish
    If you want extra crisp edges, cook an additional 1–2 minutes.
