🦞 Lobster Tail with Garlic Herb Butter Sauce

Elegant, buttery, and surprisingly easy — perfect for date night or a special dinner at home.

🦞 Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 lobster tails (4–6 oz each)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

  • ½ tsp paprika (for color)

  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

🔪 Prep the Lobster Tails

1️⃣ Thaw if frozen — Overnight in the fridge or in cold water for 30–45 minutes.
2️⃣ Butterfly the tails

  • Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the shell lengthwise.

  • Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell (keep it attached at the base).
3️⃣ Pat dry and season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.

🔥 Cooking Methods

🧈 Broiled (Best for golden tops)

  1. Preheat oven to Broil (High).

  2. Place tails on a lined baking sheet.

  3. Broil 8–10 minutes (about 1 minute per ounce), until opaque and internal temp reaches 140–145°F.

  4. Baste with garlic butter halfway through.

🌬 Air Fryer

  • Preheat to 380°F

  • Cook 6–8 minutes until opaque and tender.

🔥 Grilled

  • Medium heat, shell-side down.

  • Cook 8–10 minutes with lid closed.

  • Brush with butter while cooking.

🧄 Garlic Herb Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat:

  1. Melt butter.

  2. Add minced garlic and cook 30–60 seconds (do not brown).

  3. Stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spoon generously over hot lobster before serving.

🍽 How to Know It’s Done

  • Meat turns white and opaque.

  • Shell becomes bright red.

  • Internal temperature: 140–145°F

  • Avoid overcooking — lobster gets rubbery fast!
