Greek Chicken Gyro Bowls with Lemon Feta Sauce

🍗 Ingredients

Greek Chicken

  • 500 g chicken breast or thighs, sliced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Bowl Base

  • 2 cups cooked rice, quinoa, or lemon rice

  • 1 cup cucumber, diced

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup shredded lettuce

Lemon Feta Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt

  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice + zest

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic, grated

  • Black pepper, to taste

Optional Toppings

  • Kalamata olives

  • Fresh dill or parsley

  • Pita chips


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Marinate & Cook Chicken

  • Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  • Toss chicken in marinade (10 minutes minimum).

  • Cook in a hot pan or grill until golden and juicy (6–8 minutes).

2. Make Lemon Feta Sauce

  • Blend or whisk all sauce ingredients until creamy.

  • Taste and adjust lemon or salt.

3. Assemble Bowls

  • Add rice or quinoa to bowls.

  • Top with chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, and lettuce.

  • Drizzle generously with lemon feta sauce.
