Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil

  • ½ lb (225 g) ground beef or lamb

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1½ cups long-grain rice (basmati preferred), rinsed

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon allspice

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Instructions
