🍕🍔 Pizza Burgers
Ingredients (Makes 4 burgers)
For the Patties

500 g ground beef (or chicken mince)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)

1 tbsp breadcrumbs (optional, for juiciness)
For Assembly

4 burger buns
-
½ cup pizza sauce or marinara

1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

½ cup sliced pepperoni or cooked beef/chicken sausage

¼ cup sliced olives
-
¼ cup sliced mushrooms or bell peppers (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Instructions

Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix mince, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, and breadcrumbs.
Shape into 4 equal patties. -
Cook the Patties
Heat a pan or grill with a little oil.
Cook patties on medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side until fully cooked and nicely browned. -
Toast the Buns
Lightly butter or oil the buns and toast on a pan until golden. -
Assemble Pizza Burgers
Place patties on the bottom buns.
Spoon pizza sauce over each patty.
Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, olives, and vegetables. -
Melt the Cheese
Cover the pan with a lid on low heat for 1–2 minutes or bake at 180°C (350°F) for 5–7 minutes until cheese melts. -
Serve
Add the top buns, slice, and serve hot.
