Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
Instructions
Activate the Yeast
In a large bowl combine warm water and sugar Stir in yeast and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy
Mix the Dough
Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture Stir until a sticky dough forms
First Rise
Cover the bowl and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size
Shape and Second Rise
Grease a loaf pan Transfer dough to the pan Smooth the top and let rise for 30 to 40 minutes
Bake
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped
Cool and Slice
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing
