 Chocolate Cottage Cheese Mousse
Ingredients
1 cup cottage cheese
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Instructions
Blend the base:
In a blender or food processor, combine the cottage cheese, honey, vanilla, and salt.
Blend for about 1 minute, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy with no lumps.
Add the cocoa:
Gradually add the cocoa powder while blending.
Stop to scrape down the sides as needed, and continue blending until everything is fully combined and smooth, like a thick chocolate cream.
Adjust sweetness and texture:
Taste the mixture.
If you’d like it sweeter, add a bit more honey.
If it’s too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk (or plant-based milk) to loosen the texture.
Chill:
Spoon the mousse into small bowls or cups and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (2 hours is even better) until it sets and becomes mousse-like.
Serve:
Serve chilled. You can top it with:
Fresh fruit (raspberries, strawberries, banana slices)
Chocolate shavings
A dollop of whipped cream or yogurt
