🍎 Baked Apple Fritters 

Ingredients

For the Fritters:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 medium apples (peeled & diced small)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2–3 tbsp milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla


🍎 Instructions

Step 1: Prep the apples

  1. Dice apples into small cubes.

  2. Toss with lemon juice & brown sugar.

  3. Cook in a pan for 4–5 minutes until slightly soft.

  4. Let them cool.

Step 2: Make the batter

  1. In one bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.

  2. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla.

  3. Combine wet + dry ingredients.

  4. Fold in the cooled apples gently.

Step 3: Shape the fritters

  1. Preheat oven: 200°C (395°F).

  2. Line a baking tray.

  3. Scoop the batter in small mounds, don’t flatten.

Step 4: Bake

  • Bake for 13–17 minutes, until golden and puffed.

Step 5: Glaze

  1. Mix powdered sugar + milk + vanilla.

  2. Brush or drizzle over warm fritters.

  3. Let it set for 5 minutes.
