🍪 Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks / 226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup finely chopped nuts (optional — pecans, walnuts, or almonds work well)

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cream Butter and Milk
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until light and creamy.
Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Add Dry Ingredients
Gradually mix in the flour and salt until combined.
If using, fold in the chopped nuts. The dough will be soft but not sticky.

  4. Shape the Cookies
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball.
Place on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.

  5. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the bottoms are just lightly golden (the tops should stay pale).

  6. Coat in Powdered Sugar
While still warm, roll the cookies gently in powdered sugar.
Let them cool completely, then roll again for a snowy, powdery finish.
