MEATBALL & MASHED POTATO BAKE WITH CHEESE 🥔🧀

A warm, hearty, and ultra-comforting dish loaded with savory meatballs, creamy mashed potatoes, rich brown gravy, and bubbly cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs (fully cooked)

  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (freshly made or leftover)

  • 1½ cups brown gravy (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

🍳 Instructions:

STEP 1: PREPARE THE MEATBALLS

  • If using frozen meatballs, cook according to the package instructions (usually bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or pan-fry until browned and heated through).

  • If using homemade meatballs, make sure they are fully cooked through.

STEP 2: LAYER THE DISH

  • Lightly grease a medium baking dish (8×8″ or similar).

  • Spread the mashed potatoes evenly across the bottom of the dish.

  • Arrange the cooked meatballs on top of the mashed potatoes.

STEP 3: ADD GRAVY AND CHEESE

  • Pour the brown gravy over the meatballs, spreading it out so everything is nicely coated.

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.

STEP 4: BAKE

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

STEP 5: SEASON AND SERVE

  • Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!
