Crispy Egg Rolls with Sweet Chili Dip
Crispy on the outside, savory on the inside — these egg rolls are packed with seasoned meat and veggies, then dipped in a zesty sweet chili sauce. Perfect for appetizers, snacks, or party platters!
Ingredients
For the Filling:

1 lb ground beef or chicken

1 cup finely shredded cabbage

1/2 cup grated carrots

1/2 cup chopped green onions
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

Salt & pepper to taste
For the Egg Rolls:

10–12 egg roll wrappers
-
Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil recommended)
For the Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce:

1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp lime juice
Instructions
🔹 Step 1: Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, salt & pepper.

Cook for another 3–4 minutes until veggies are tender. Set aside to cool slightly.
🔹 Step 2: Assemble the Egg Rolls

Lay out an egg roll wrapper like a diamond. Add 2 tbsp of filling to the center.

Fold bottom corner over filling, then fold in sides and roll tightly.

Seal the top corner with a dab of water to hold it closed. Repeat for all rolls.
🔹 Step 3: Fry the Egg Rolls

Heat about 1–2 inches of oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).

Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

Remove and drain on paper towels.
🔹 Step 4: Make the Dipping Sauce

Mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
🔹 Step 5: Serve

Serve egg rolls hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
