🐟 Grilled Fish with Crispy Fries

Ingredients:

For the Grilled Fish:

  • 2–4 fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, snapper, or your favorite white fish)

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika or chili flakes (optional)

  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or dill), for garnish

  • Lemon wedges, to serve

For the Crispy Fries:

  • 2–3 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fries

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: a sprinkle of grated parmesan or fresh herbs

Instructions:

1. Make the Fries:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Spread evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  • Optional: Broil for an extra 2–3 minutes at the end for max crispiness.

2. Grill the Fish:

  • While fries are baking, preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  • Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.

  • Brush with olive oil or butter, then season with garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Grill for 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

3. Serve:

  • Plate the grilled fish with crispy fries on the side.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges.

  • Optional sides: tartar sauce, garlic yogurt dip, or a light salad.

🔥 Quick Tips:

  • Soak cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes before baking for extra crispiness.

  • Use an air fryer for the fries if you want them even crispier with less oil.

  • Want to add some spice? A dash of cayenne or hot sauce on the fish goes a long way!
